We are excited to hear the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals are back in Du Quoin, IL next year! The last time this event was in Du Quoin was 1998. We’ve made trips to other events produced by Family Events, and are happy to see this one come back. Especially so close to our back yard. You can count us in for 2013.
The event will be June 28-30, 2013 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. You can register your car starting now. Follow the link below for information on how to register. Pre-registration is only $35 and is open until June 21. Registration at the event will be $55, so get your registration in early.
The Street Machine Nationals’ announcement said “In addition to the cars, spectators and participants can witness the tuned-up Performance Marketplace for the latest aftermarket parts, burnout challenge, dyno challenge, meet the editors of Car Craft, take in the Miss Street Machine contest and more. There will be 40+ pro judged awards given including Car Craft Editor’s Choice.” Weir Parts Center will be sure to bring the presence of GM Performance Parts and Ford Racing Parts along with us.
Family Events also produces the Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Fall Street Machine Nationals in Springfield, Missouri. That event is September 28-29 in 2013.
We’re down to this year’s last car show of our schedule. You can find us in Quincy, IL at the Early Tin Dusters 37th Annual Fall Color Run this Friday and Saturday. The event starts Friday and goes through Sunday. You’ll get to see the classics at this one. The Color Run is pre-1949 only. There is no registration fee. For more information about this event, you can view their brochure at http://www.earlytindusters.com/color_run_brochure/.
We set up the Weir Parts Performance Parts trailer at most of the Car Shows this year. There were a couple, like the Hotrod and Restoration Car Show, that we couldn’t set it up. But for the most part, you couldn’t miss us hanging around the yellow and blue Performance Parts trailer with our GM Performance and Ford Racing engines out front.
We had an excellent time at each event this year and can’t wait for next year!
If you like to suggest a car show to us for the 2013 season, please send us some information about it through the contact form.

Todd and Bryan will be in Indianapolis at the Lucas Oil Stadium for the 14th Annual Hotrod and Restoration Trade Show for our first car show of the year. You can find them at the Weir Parts Center booth #651 Friday (3-22-2012) and Saturday. Drop by and see them if you’re at the show. We’re pretty pumped up for this show. This is the first year the Hotrod and Restoration Show has been in their new location at the Lucas Oil Stadium, so they have plenty of room for booths and exhibits. Over 40 companies will be showcasing new products. For more information about the show go to http://www.hotrodshow.com.
